Magazine Advert.

This is mine and Kemique final Magazine Advert! This piece of work was created by the lovely Kemique whilst I  was making a head start on our digipak. I personally think she did an amazing job. well done girl xx

Digipak.

This is our final digipak made by myself and kemique. It took us a while to create it but we finally got there at the end.

Music video- Audience feedbacks.

These are some of our audience feedbacks that we have received from some friends , teachers and target audience. We had both positive and negative revues and kemique and I are very pleased. Here below are some of the things people had to say about our FINAL MUSIC VIDEO.

We also received  some feedback on Whatsap , Instagram, Snapchat and Facebook.

We also had some problem with having access  to the video through mobile phones.This was because the song that we used Tori Kelly - UNBREAKABLE SMAILE is copy righted, so people have to uses their laptop and computer in order to watch it.

The long wait are finally over. Its been a long journey , allot of work and effort was put into this by myself and kemique. I truly hope that you guys enjoy our  final product as much as we do.

This is our rough cut of our music video. As you can see theirs a few blanks and few changes to be made. However I believe were doing well so far and our final music video will be amazing.

4th day of editing

       Fourth day of Editing 

Today was our 4th editing session and it was done by myself.
Also in  today session  I was joined by Kemique and miss they were giving me there opinion of how the music video is coming along . Miss  was able to give constructed Democritus  that was very useful .  So everything is  going well except the fact that we still need to do the Band scene which is a big problem for the majority of  the other groups as the availability of the studio clashes with our subjects and its quite hard to get out of these lesson . So we have no choice but to miss a lesson if  we ever want to get this done. Apart from that where on track with everything else and I  believe that this year final project will be better than last year.

3rd day of editing

Third day of editing

Today was my first time editing and i was really happy. Before  i started anything I asked Sir option on our music video so far and he said the followings.  Sir said that it was good so far but some footage are too long I should cut it even more shorter so its in sink with the beat . I really appreciated sir comments if i want the top grade band i have to do exactly as he says.  I didn't release how long it took Kemique to edit until today because its really hard to edit exactly to the beat but so far so good .

2nd day of editing

                Second day of editing.

Today was our second day of editing like last time it was done by partner kemique scantlebury. This was due to the fact that i came to lesson late because I had a doctors  appointment and she wasn't sure if il be in so she went a head and carried on with editing.  When i manage to get to school I found her on the computer editing and i sat next to her helping her and carried on with our individual editing task that sir set us. So far kemique has mange to do the first half of our music video now its up to me to finish of the the remaining half. 

Also we had 2 more scene to shoot which were gonna do it next week.  Theres the band scene which requires Nadine, kemique , Tayo, Barbara and myself. Theres also the ballon scene which only require kemique , nadine and I. once we get this sorted thats when I will be able to carry one with our music video. 

1st editing

               First day of editing.

Today was our first day of editing and it was done by my other half Kemique Scantlebury.  she focused focused on the introduction and making sure that we had all the footage that we needed. at first she struggled to upload our footage from the camera to adobe premiere but thanks to me she got it at the end. In today lesson I focused  on my blog post and other things that sir asked me to do. after seeing what kemique did today it has made me even more excited and i cant wait still get my turn to edit.

Animatic.

This is kemique and I animatic video where we used several types of presentations to present our  work. I used "Pixton" a website for comics and storyboard  to then create a story board using our shot list and location sheet to help along the way. Kemique than used "Flipagram" to make the image move systematically and also to add music in the background, the music thats playing in the background is " Tori Kelly- Unbreakable Smile which is the song we choose for our music video.

Case study 2 - Emil nava

His first budget was for the band Kid British and the track Our House with a budget of £20,000, located in Manchester. He spends one day filming, two/three days editing and ten days pre-production. 
OB Management work as agents for music video directors and their aim is to nurture talent, work with production companies, work with record labels and match the right director to the right artist. 
Emil Nava's main suggestions are to have extreme close ups in the music video and to not shoot the whole video in medium shot. 

These are all the projects that Emil Nava  has worked on and as you can see he has worked with top artist and still today his good friends with them especially ed Sheeran and Jessie j.

Editing to the beat

Editing to the beat.

This is my editing to the beat! The whole point of this excises was to help uses get used to editing to different kind of beat. In order to achieve this I had to use Adobe premiere pro ( the editing software).  I did not have trouble uploading the footage from the share area but what I did struggle with was the editing especially when the tempo change rhythm.  However during this exercise I learnt how to apply the split screen effect !

 As you can see I used two different footage of the tiger and the shark  for the split screen effect.  

This is my favourite part of the video as the routine matches the beat of the song. Plus I love the choreography.

This is my music video editing timeline . As you can see you can see I choose to overlap my footage instead of keeping in on the same layer/ line.  Overall  I enjoyed this task and I learned allot from this exercise .

 STYLES OF MUSIC.

In today blog post am going to explain the different type of music video and why they are used.

Narrative Based

A song with a narrative based music video the song includes a narrative story of the lyrics/ words being acted out in some way. This style relies on imagery to produce a story for the audience to follow and some narrative videos include clips from films that the song has been featured in. This seems to be used a lot in slower songs, and often tend to be love stories.  in this case this Fred Hammond video explain a young girls life suffering from cancer and how it has an effect on her.

This is also another narrative  music video.

Performance Based
Performance based music video shows  the band or artist performing.  Although the artist or band doesn’t have to move and dance, if they are singing or playing the instrument , than music video is performance based

 Abstract/Concept

A concept music video is abstract. and it neither concept or performance. it often starts from an idea or theme the music video director has come up with.it normally doesn't to the song lyrics however may have an underlying relationship or meaning with then. A concept could be arty or involve other art forms to be abstract and make a statement and impact to the audience however the video is meant to create a mood, a feeling to be evoked in the viewing experience.
